Description
Secret Hitler is a high-stakes, social deduction game set in 1930s Germany, where players are secretly divided into two teams: Liberals and Fascists, with one player secretly assigned the role of Hitler. Liberals must enact five Liberal policies or assassinate Hitler to win, while Fascists aim to enact six Fascist policies or elect Hitler as Chancellor after three Fascist policies have been enacted. Gameplay revolves around intense debates, desperate accusations, and cunning deception as players propose and vote on governments, pass policies (which are drawn randomly from a hidden deck), and use powerful executive actions to investigate or even assassinate opponents. The tension escalates as trust erodes and suspicion mounts, making every vote and declaration critical in the battle between democracy and tyranny.
The Marco thinks:
This is a game where you can try to talk your way to victory, but also strategically deduce identities based on gameplay actions. Even as someone not typically fond of party games, I genuinely enjoyed this one. Be prepared to make some “enemies”, especially if you’re not a fan of overly talkative players.
The Lidia thinks:
I like it as an occasional ice breaker. Success in this game often hinges more on lucky guesses rather than on elaborate strategy.
