Description
Everdell is a beautifully illustrated, worker-placement and tableau-building game set in a charming fantasy valley inhabited by whimsical forest critters. Players compete to establish the most flourishing forest city by sending their animal workers to gather resources like twigs, resin, pebbles, and berries, which are then used to play “Critter” and “Construction” cards into their personal tableau. Each card offers unique abilities, resource production, or victory points, creating synergistic combinations that grow more powerful as the game progresses across the four seasons. The goal is to maximize efficiency, create the most valuable card combinations, and prepare for the next season, all while striving to achieve the highest score by the time winter arrives.
The Marco thinks:
This game’s thematic core is awesome. You have to construct your village with unique creatures and buildings, constantly seeking optimal synergies for earnings and victory points. Since everyone draws from a common area, you’ll need to keenly observe what other players are aiming for to avoid direct competition for resources. The game is also aesthetically pleasing, from the beautiful card art to the board itself, with the central tree adding a particularly nice touch.
