Description
Codenames is a clever and engaging word-association party game where two rival teams, each led by a Spymaster, compete to be the first to identify all of their secret agents. The Spymasters give one-word clues that relate to multiple words on a grid of 25 cards laid out on the table, trying to guide their teammates to pick only their team’s agents while avoiding the opposing team’s agents and, most critically, the lone assassin card. Teammates must then discuss and deduce which words on the grid correspond to the Spymaster’s clue and number, creating a dynamic and often hilarious interplay of creative clue-giving, careful deduction, and strategic risk-taking.
The Marco thinks:
This is a team cooperative game where you’ll guide your allies to guess correct words while cleverly avoiding the other team’s. As the game progresses, you’ll start to decode how your teammates react to specific word combinations, which will prompt you to reframe your communication method. It can be challenging for non-native speakers, but it’s capable of creating connections and bringing people closer. For these last reasons, big plus from The Marco.
