Description
Bloodborne: The Card Game is a fast-paced, high-stakes “co-opetition” game that traps players in the brutal Chalice Dungeons of Yharnam. While you technically work together to slay monsters, the ultimate goal is purely selfish: to collect the most Blood Echoes and Trophies before the final boss is defeated. The core tension lies in simultaneous action selection, where players must decide whether to attack for glory or retreat to the safety of the Hunter’s Dream to bank their points and upgrade their deck; however, if you’re too greedy and the monster kills you before you escape, you lose all your unbanked progress. It perfectly captures the punishing “risk versus reward” spirit of the video game, forcing you to constantly guess when your “allies” are about to leave you high and dry to face a beast alone.
The Marco thinks:
The game revolves around a simple ‘play a card and see what happens’ mechanic, which I really like because everyone plays at the same time and there’s basically zero downtime between turns. It’s definitely a high-risk game where luck plays a big part, but you can still manage it a little by trying to predict what your opponents are going to do. Overall, it’s a fun experience, though it feels a bit more accessible and less ‘hardcore’ than you’d usually expect from a game based on Bloodborne.
The Lidia thinks:
I like the box.
