Description

Aeon’s End is a cooperative deck-building game where players take on the role of Breach Mages, powerful magic users defending the last human city, Gravehold, from monstrous entities known as the Nameless. What sets it apart are its unique mechanics: players never shuffle their decks, requiring careful planning of discards to set up future turns, and the turn order is randomized, adding a chaotic element to battles against formidable, unique bosses. Players acquire new gems, relics, and spells from a shared market to strengthen their decks, manage their “breaches” (conduits for spells), and unleash powerful abilities, all while balancing damage output with protecting Gravehold’s dwindling health.

The Marco thinks:

This is a well-designed cooperative deckbuilding game where the author clearly intended for players to learn and maximize their strategy without relying on luck. A unique peculiarity is that you don’t shuffle your deck once depleted. Instead, you simply pick up all the cards and put them back to form your deck, allowing you to plan your combos in a non-random way. Overall, it’s a game with nice mechanics and solid player interaction.
