Description
Dominoes is a family of tile-based games played with rectangular “domino” tiles, each marked with a number of spots (or pips) on two ends, separated by a line. The most common form involves players taking turns to match an open end of a domino in the chain with a tile from their hand that has an identical number of pips, extending the line of play. While simple in concept, the game involves strategy in hand management, observation of opponents’ plays, and sometimes numerical calculation, with the objective typically being to be the first to empty one’s hand of dominoes or to accumulate points based on the unmatched pips in opponents’ hands. Its variations range from casual, straightforward matching to complex scoring games, making it adaptable for different skill levels and group sizes.

I love playing this game when I’m in the mood for some strategic thinking. Plus, it’s great that it can be played with a close group.
