Visiting, Booking & Location
A: We are located at Chalmersgatan 19 in the heart of Gothenburg. We are easily accessible by public transport—just a short walk from the Valand or Vasaplatsen stop.
A: The place is quite big and we always welcome walk-ins, but we recommend booking a table in advance, especially on weekends and when other events are in place (like Quiz Nights, Chess Tournaments or Learn & Play). You can easily book your table online here.
A: We charge a small gaming cover fee of 55 kr per person, which gives you unlimited access to our entire board game library for your booking slot. We also offer combo options with food and drinks that include the entry. If you are just coming in for a coffee or to hang out and don’t want to play, there is no fee!
Games & Community
A: Our curated library includes over 80 games at the time of writing, but we are constantly expanding it! We have everything from casual party games and family classics to deep, strategic tabletop games. See our board games selection here.
A: Not at all! We are always on hand to help you choose a game, set it up, and explain the basic rules so you can skip reading the instruction manual and start having fun right away. If you want to be prepared, in our games section you’ll find video tutorials for the more complex games. Also, there are QR codes on the board game boxes in case you prefer learning on your own while you are already at the cafe.
A: No, we are strictly a board game café. We focus on tabletop gaming, card games, and face-to-face social experiences rather than PCs, consoles, or esports. If you are looking for a cozy place to roll dice and play cards in Gothenburg, you’re in the right spot!
A: Absolutely! We pride ourselves on being a welcoming community. Keep an eye on our Events Calendar in our home page for our social gaming nights, or ask our staff to introduce you to open groups looking for extra players.
Food, Drinks & Policies
A: Yes! We offer a full menu of hot drinks, beer, mocktails and soft drinks, alongside a selection of snacks, sandwiches, and desserts to keep your energy up while you play. You can view our full menu here.
A: You are more than welcome to bring a specific game from home that you’ve been dying to play with friends! Please note that our standard gaming cover fee still applies.
A: Absolutely! We love hosting community gatherings and encourage you to use our space. You can even organize events that aren’t related to board games—like book clubs, study groups, craft meetups, or corporate team-builders. The only restriction we have is that live music events are not allowed due to our space and sound setup. Contact us here to pitch your idea and book your dates!
